Digital Painting #3: Face, Light & Dark: Phase 2
Posted by Judah in Computer Doodle, Daily Doodle with 0 CommentsIf 50 paintings are required for traction, I only have 47 and a half to go! I tried 4 different brushes with various settings on each. The stylistic shift across the digital canvas could be nice, but you be the judge. One or two more settings ought to finalize this piece, color and all.

Photoshop Painting 3: Face Stripe: Phase 1
Posted by Judah in Computer Doodle, Daily Doodle with 0 CommentsOn to my third Photoshop painting! I’m struggling most with achieving the kind of tonal blending I want. I think once I figure out how it’ll be a breakthrough. For now, though, here’s the first phase of the value study. Once the black and white is done, then I’ll add the color.

Photoshop Painting: Christmas Card 2013: Final
Posted by Judah in Computer Doodle, Daily Doodle with 0 CommentsThis is the piece I’ll use for my 2013 customer Christmas cards: Immanuel. Photoshop Painting Value Study: Scorpion Tank
Posted by Judah in Computer Doodle, Daily Doodle with 0 CommentsI’ll admit, I’ve dealt with a share of frustration throughout these Photoshop painting tutorials. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve drawn with “real” pens/pencils for so long or what, but the transition into digital painting hasn’t been an easy one. In any case, this is by no means some sort of finished painting, but […]

Posted by Judah in Computer Doodle, Daily Doodle, Doodle Phases with 0 CommentsGraphic Design Meets Drawing I design 90% of everything on the computer, and draw 90% of my illustrations with traditional mediums. I’ve recently been watching YouTube tutorials on how to do paintings in Photoshop…so perhaps some day both the graphic design and drawing will be 90% on the computer…who knows! This is a value study […]
