Digital Painting Doodle #15: Study of Vermeer’s The Milkmaid: Phase 1

I’ve always loved this Vermeer painting…it’s so fun to study it from this perspective. Here’s the colors and values “roughed in.” I recently discovered  an EXCELLENT resource for my painting studies: The Google Art Project. Once can browse hundreds, if not thousands, of high resolution images of art all over the world!
